WE'RE ANNA & TOM
We have been happily married for 9 years and are hoping to start our family through private adoption. Although we do not have any children yet, we feel we are parents in our hearts. We love spending time with our six nieces and nephews, and Anna is a teacher at a dual language school in New York City.
We’re well aware of the joys that adoption can bring, as our niece’s mother was adopted. We have always wanted to be parents and believe that adoption is the best way to grow our family.
We’ve always dreamed of taking our own child on vacations and day trips to the city, bringing them to family gatherings to play with their cousins, playing in our backyard or simply watching Netflix in our living room.
We will provide a child with a warm and nurturing home on Long Island, NY filled with love, laughter, and diversity. Anna is half Ecuadorian and speaks Spanish fluently, and we want to share that bilingualism with our child.
On this site, you'll find more information about us and a preview of what our life would look like with a child in our lives.
I was born and raised on Long Island, NY, where I lived with my parents and two older brothers. I am of Ecuadorian, Irish, and German descent and have strong family values. Growing up I enjoyed taking trips to Ecuador with my family and visiting my Ecuadorian relatives. I grew up bilingual in English and Spanish, and am a middle school math and science teacher at a dual language school in Brooklyn. My hobbies include traveling, cooking and playing board games. I absolutely adore spending time with my nieces and nephews. I am so excited to welcome my first child and look forward to sharing precious moments and memories with him or her.
I grew up in an Italian-American household in Queens, NY, where I lived with my parents and two older sisters. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I have amazing childhood memories going on annual family vacations with my parents and sisters. We would go upstate, the Bahamas, Florida, etc., and would have a great time wherever we went. Now, I love traveling with Anna. I cannot wait to have annual vacations with my own family and provide our child with similar amazing memories. My other hobbies include playing and watching sports (especially the Yankees), watching movies, and BBQing.
We live in a quiet suburban family friendly Long Island town. We cannot wait to raise our child in this happy community. Our home has ample room for a child to play and plenty of space outside. There are parks in walking distance and excellent local schools. We enjoy hosting family gatherings and playing games in our home.
We love spending time with our family and friends, traveling, and just hanging out at home. We cannot wait to share similar moments with a child.
ANNA'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY
I grew up with my loving parents and two older brothers. Family is very important to me and I enjoy spending time with them. My parents have retired to Florida where they always welcome Tom and me to visit. I enjoy spending time down in Florida and cannot wait to include our first child on our visits. Along with family trips to Florida, I also love spending different occasions with family such as BBQs, parties, and sporting events, like watching the Ecuadorian national soccer team. From my brothers, we have two nieces who we absolutely adore. Everyone is super excited to add another member to our family!
TOM'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY
Family is a source of some of my happiest memories and is extremely important to me. I have amazing childhood memories, from Sunday dinners at my Grandmother's with my aunts, uncles and cousins, to vacations with my parents and sisters, and holiday traditions. The whole family is so excited about welcoming a new addition to the family.
NIECES AND NEPHEWS
We are lucky to have six nieces and nephews ranging from ages 3-15. We always have a great time babysitting and spending time with them. They are excited to have another cousin.
